BIOGRAPHY Derya Ozparlak Toronto-based Canadian artist working in animation, stop-motion, sculpture, mixed media and installation. Derya graduated with an Honours BFA in Sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Anadolu University in Turkey. Her work is about navigating identities, such as gender identity, immigrant identity and discrimination, cultural Diversity and Multiculturalism, and urban transformation. Her artworks are held in corporate, private, museum and public collections. She has participated in numerous groups, solo exhibitions, art fairs, and symposiums in Canada, France, Sri Lanka, Turkey, the US, Spain, Lebanon, Germany and Italy. She is now pursuing her second BFA at OCAD University in the area of Experimental Animation.
